Important if you have diabetes. Percussion massagers are not suitable for everyone. If you have diabetic neuropathy, reduced sensation in your feet or legs, poor circulation, or you take blood-thinning medication, speak to your doctor before using one. Reduced sensation means you may not feel pressure that is too strong, and skin that heals slowly needs to be treated gently. Never use a massage gun over a wound, an ulcer, a numb area, or a fresh injury.
