The Atom AT-600 is a blood glucose monitoring system for testing at home. A small blood sample from a fingerstick goes onto a test strip, and the meter shows the glucose reading.
A fingerstick meter gives you one reading at the moment you test. That is useful on its own, and it is also worth keeping even if you move to continuous monitoring, because your product instructions may ask for a fingerstick in certain situations.
Test strips are meter-specific. The AT-600 uses Atom AT-600 strips. Strips made for a different meter will not work, so order the matching ones.
Please note: a glucose meter measures. It does not treat or diagnose diabetes. Speak to your doctor or diabetes educator about what your readings mean and how often to test, and follow the instructions supplied with the device.
