The Medico DT-40 is a digital thermometer with a rigid stainless-steel tip, for measuring body temperature at home.

What it does

• Rigid stainless tip, which gives consistent underarm and oral readings and is easy to clean.
• Reading in about 10 seconds, against a minute or more for a glass thermometer.
• Large, clear display, readable in poor light — which is usually when you need it.
• Switches itself off after 10 minutes to save the battery.
